NOTES: Quit Calling Us Indecision was recorded almost as soon as Mr. Beige came home from school. We popped into Magic Carpet Studios (home of previous recordings by i farm and the Hank Roberts Trio) and, after trying three different guitar amps, knocked out seven tracks in five hours. Mixing was completed in a two-hour session the next day. We were originally going to release the first four songs as a 7" EP, but we ran out of money and decided to instead release a tape of six of the tracks (the seventh is reserved for an ultra-secret project to be revealed later) along with another five songs from the 1995 sessions, as I thought that six songs was too short.
The title and cover were a reaction against people constantly living in the past (as we saw it) and refusing to let us move on. And we thought it was funny. The first batch were done on 60 minute tapes with the songs all on one side. We put a few extra bits in the blank space, including a message left by Sean on Scott and Craig's answering machine about hippies, and two (count 'em, two) secret extra hidden bonus tracks (so secret the band didn't even know about the second one). The inserts also turned out Pepto Bismol pink for some reason. The second batch have a purple insert (which is what the originals were supposed to be) and are two-sided, without the bonus tracks.
Five of the tracks on the A-Side were included on the CD version of Buy This, You Cheap Bastard!
